At Servers Grid our goal is to provide you with the most dependable and flexible hosting infrastructure in the industry. To ensure the most reliable service possible, we will be upgrading all Servers Grid shared servers in our world class datacenters. This upgrade will allow for greater performance, reliability and flexibility of your web server. To ensure the most reliable service, On July 15, 2016, between 12:01am Eastern (UTC -5) and 5:00am Eastern (UTC -5), our datacenter operations team will perform this maintenance in our data center to ensure the most reliable and consistent power and network connectivity to your servers.
While we've scheduled a five-hour maintenance window, we do not anticipate any downtime. Our technicians have performed this maintenance in our other data centers many times and have established a process to minimize any outage period during the moves.
What this means for you:
Well, first of all once the upgrade is complete you will experience even faster, more reliable downloads than ever before. With all new servers, we are tripling the size and speed of all shared servers.
We Expect:
While we've scheduled a five-hour maintenance window, we do not anticipate any downtime. Our technicians have performed this maintenance in our other data centers many times and have established a process to minimize any outage period during the moves.
Once the new servers are up and running and all data is migrated we will update DNS records to point to the new servers. This time frame is wholly dependent on your ISP’s DNS update policies and we expect the majority of our vendors to fall in the 5-60 minutes area before full services are restored.
So to recap- We’re upgrading! We’ll have a few minutes of downtime on On July 15, 2016, between 12:01am Eastern (UTC -5) and 5:00am Eastern (UTC -5).
While we have no plans on making any other major changes at this time, we will continue to evaluate everything as we get feedback from customers to determine if any other changes need to be made to provide the most dependable and flexible hosting infrastructure in the world.
